Just Ripped : 'The Grand Illusion' by 'Styx' using Plextools 1.21

My last rip was a CD copy of the "Current93 -- Thunder Perfect Mind" vinyl.

EAC - Test and copy secure with C2 - MPC 1.15r -quality 5 --xlevel
Gambit
Missy Elliott - Under Construction with EAC, MPC --quality 6 --xlevel.

My last rip was:

Elton John - Tumbleweed Connection
with EAC Secure with NO C2, accurate stream, disable cache
to FLAC 1.1.0, single file with cuesheet.

Does anyone know how to make EAC recognize the cuesheet automatically when using Copy Image --> Compressed?

BT - Movement in Still Life, via Plextools, then encoded with mppenc v1.15r or whatever the latest alpha is, -q6 -xlevel.

Problem is: it's scratched to pieces, with a few scratches on the silver layer. So, it's a big pain to get a good rip from. I need to take better care of my CDs. smile.gif

"Jeanette - Rock My Life (Gold Edition)".

Got it from one of my nasty nieces. She received it from one of her friends as a gift to her birthday. I would never have bought this album by myself.

Ripped with EAC in secure-mode (C2-error-correction SET, - Yeah! Don´t feed the monkees!) in 3:00 mins. with my new DVD-Rom "LiteOn LTD-165". Winner of the test in german-computer-mag "c't" (together with an Asus-drive). Costed me only 42 €. And is a hell of fast. Average ripping-speed with EAC-secure-mode 23x (!).

Edit:
------
I made a quick test: I ripped the same album again with leaving C2-error-correction switched off. The avg. speed was now only 14,4 x and it needed 4:52 mins. to rip the complete album. I also compared the checksums of each song in the logfiles from both ripping-methods to each other: All 18 were exactly the same. So, why shouldn´t I use this feature, if it speeds up the ripping tremendously (up to 60 %)?

First I always rip to lossless (Monkey´s Audio in this case, "high"-compression). When I have around 13 or whatever albums in lossless, I burn them to DVD-R and erase them from harddisc.

Still got to convert it to lossy MPC --q5 --xlevel with MPC-Batch-Encoder. Hope that soon V1.16 Beta of the MPC-encoder appears now. What´s up, Frank?

How far does your radio station reach? I lived In Necochea for a few years I remember the radio stations where O.K, the best one had a women who was in love with Robbie Williams the bad thing was they would insert commercials during songs (most did this) , sometimes they would get to the middle of a song, input a commercial & not finish the song.

I'm currently not working on any audio-CD / lossy compression projects, but the last I did was Linkin Park - Meteora.

Right now I'm making VCD's from 2 DVD rentals... Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever and Blade II.
I'm ripping with SmartRipper, making project files and extracting the audio for manipulation with DVD2AVI, re-encoding with TMPGEnc, and burning with Nero.

I'm highly satisfied with my results so far.
Societal Eclipse
Ministry - Filthpig. It's about time I got around to adding it to my MP3 + OGG collection.
Opeth
Opeth - Orchid with audio_catalist and xing mp3 encoder !

forgot about this thread...
next one will be .wav files 'ripped' from the 2 record 1960-something LP 'Thru the Years - John Mayall'
probably doing a 1985 Stevie Ray Vaughn double LP after that; I hardly work with CDs anymore when vinyl is so much cheaper and has better selection for me.
edit: using wavpack hybrid mode to archive (build 3.97, played briefly with 4alpha2) at the moment.

I just ripped the album Get Out by Pita (on Mego records) with EAC. I usually leave the computer alone while it rips, though.
Florian
I'm just ripping "Parkstudios - Out Producing".
