Hi there!
I just discovered Foobar, and wow, it's great!

I am going to replace Winamp with this, but the problem is that I can't seem to set Foobar as my default MP3 player.
I've tried going to My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types to set the thing, but Foobar just doesn't show on the list.

I've tried holding Shift and right clicking the MP3 file, and selecting Foobar manually, but to no avail.
Anyone knows how to fix this?

and PS: Anyone knows how to save the settings in Foobar? The .cfg file isn't the one, when I try to relocate the program, the settings will just reset....

I am using Foobar 0.6b23 with Win XP Pro SP1.

Foobar2000 does show on the list? Find "mp3" and locate foobar2000. Or you could just use the installer that takes care of everything.


To do a little advertizing you could of course also use the icon-pack I thru together (link in my sig).

Hmm... Where do I get the installer version? the 0.6b23 that I got was just a zip file with the files inside..

You could just use the installer for the old version: http://foobar2000.hydrogenaudio.org/
and then overwrite the files with the ones from the zipped beta version.

turns out that Case already made installers for the beta versions:
