Full Version: Burning to "minus tracks" with Nero

Is it possible with Nero to burn audio to first track's "minus track". By "minus track" I mean the time signatures before 0. In some audio CD's I have seen like hidden track where you can only get by rewinding like "over zero" in the first track. What I'm asking is could this kinda track be burned by Nero?

I don't know if it's possible with Nero or a cue-sheet, but Feurio is the easiest for that job.
Just select "Set special index 0 marker" in the Track Editor.

You can see the result in the Wave Player before burning. The index is shown next to position and remaining time.

It should be possible with cue. You can burn such cue only with eac, though.

It can be done through .toc however, something like:

QUOTE
CD_DA

TRACK AUDIO
FILE "<path>/track0.wav" 0
START
FILE "<path>/track1.wav" 0

TRACK AUDIO
FILE "<path>/track2.wav" 0

TRACK AUDIO
FILE "<path>/track3.wav" 0
...

Then burn with cdrdao (bao).

I think a cue like this should work:

FILE "music.wav" WAVE
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 00 00:00:00
INDEX 01 00:25:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
INDEX 01 6:00:00
TRACK 03 AUDIO
INDEX 01 10:00:00
....
...

Why only EAC?
It seems I can play it as expected with Feurio.

Yeah, if you have single wav, no problem then. But you can't do this with separate wavs (Nero won't burn it).

You must make a wav file with the hidden track+track 1.
Import it as track 1 in Nero.
Set the track 1 pause to the lenght of the hidden track + 2 seconds. eg if the hidden track is 4 minutes and track 1 is 5 minutes, you have a 9 minutes wave file. Set the pause to 242 seconds.
Set all other pauses to zero.

I never tried it, but it is the logical way to go with Nero.

I'd say that won't work, Pio.
I think the only way to set index-0 marks in Nero is through the pause settings, but you can't fill the pauses with music in Nero, AFAIK.
If you set the pause to 242 seconds, you'll have 242 seconds of index-0 silence, and then the WAV you compile, like in the other tracks when you set the pause to 2 or 4 or 10 seconds...

By the way, I don't have problems to make a compilation with cuesheet and multiple files in Feurio, with a cue like this:

FILE "music1.wav" WAVE
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 00 00:00:00
INDEX 01 00:50:00
FILE "music2.wav" WAVE
TRACK 02 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00
....
...

50 seconds of hidden music will be in the index-0 of the 1st track.

I didn't think about this, you must be right.
