I just downloaded the new foobar v6 and tried to play my mp3 files with KernalStreaming. Some of them refuse to work!

mp3 file data:
bitrate = 32
codec = MP3
channels = 1
samplerate = 22050
REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN = -7.8500 dB
REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_PEAK = 0.7793

However, when I switched to DirectSound it all worked perfectly???

Is that supposed to happen?

Kernel Streaming is experimental. If it doesn't work, then don't use it.

I'm guessing you're not using the resampler, you need to for kernal streaming as it will only accept sample rates your card will accept.

Otherwise it's what Curious_George said.

@ Curi0us_George - OK smile.gif I am no longer using kernalstreaming. However, these mp3s worked on foobar v0.5x with kernal streaming?

@ musicmusic - No, I am not using resampler!
Curi0us_George
Well, give the resampler a try. If that doesn't do it, just use something else.

I don't know why it doesn't work for you now, but I can't really say I'm going to lose any sleep about it.
JEN
Well that cleared everything up. Thanx!!!

Use "Convert mono to stereo" DSP.
