This post was made by Ogia in the general HA forum, I don't really know why but hey, everyone's new to forums at some point...

Thank & sorry for the late reply, but it took some time to investigate fb2k.

This old statement of the author have misleaded me.
Now after a whole day of learning how to make nice looking and informative fpl-window, I'm quite pleased. (sorry again - new in this strings)
And there is just so little to make me happy and forget winamp wink.gif .
I *can* live without seekbar & skins, but I need very much some interactivity in database search to make it more like ML.
May be something like falling menu with query history in foo_dbsearch window. And even better buttons with predefined strings (to search only this or that field). And also right click menu to search by the artist(genre ...) of the current item.
I'm aware that this mean almost ML, yes that's what I'm seeking for. Please don't make me think of suicide. blink.gif

P.S. Not sure is this the right thread to place my request. May someone will quote it to right person.

Some of these things are already in foo_shizzle, especially it has a richer UI (more buttons). So if you're not running Win9x, you might want to try this as an alternative. I have already thought about adding presets to foo_dbsearch, but I couldn't think of a _good_ way/UI to manage them in the configuration. About the extended context menu... let's see about that.
To keep your expectations from rising too high: I have no plans to add _any_ button to the UI of foo_dbsearch, because I don't need them. tongue.gif

I sure hope Ogia finds this reply. smile.gif

The search history will appear in the next release of foo_shizzle. (I need to get around to adding the rest of the functionality I want to foo_shizzle.)

I'm curious dry.gif about foo_shizzle, but it's a pity - Win98.

Exuse my stupid question, but is it so hard to write a real ML with the database?

(Thank you superdumprob, for quoting my request)

Sorry. I tried to get it working on Win98 in the past, but I don't have a Win98 box, so I can't properly test it. I know that it doesn't work right, and that's about all I know.
