News:

I tested foobar with 3 OS: Windows XP Pro SP1, Windows 2000 Pro SP3, Windows 98SE.

Results:
XP - visible problem with mouse movement (when fb2k plays and while loading files), visible jerking windows movement (click 1st mouse button on title bar and move).
2000 - visible jerking windows movement.
98SE - visible jerking windows movement.

Attention: no one of this problems not happen with any other programs (that I use and know), even if they loads CPU at 100%.

So, Peter, what do you say about it now?
Peter
try reducing thread priority in playback settings (new option in 0.6 final)
also, none of your "problems" occur on any of my machines, even with 50% cpu load.

Do you mean with resampler enabled in slow mode? Because that does give me wierd jerky mouse movement.

Hmm, I get the jerky-mouse syndrome when I turn on slow mode in the resampler (but only when foobar is focused). I'd never tried it before.

P.S. 30% CPU

Yes.

Its a lot more noticeable here with 64 bit slow mode resampler, i get ~25% cpu.

But it does happen with 32bit slow mode resampler, where i get ~20% cpu.

I know its happened since 0.5 or maybe earlier, i was thought it was known, but i dont use slow resampler anyway..

PS it does seem to happen here when foobar is not in focus, but less noticeable.

Edit: reducing thread priority and restarting playback fixes it.

try reducing thread priority in playback settings (new option in 0.6 final)

Results:
max - mouse and windows is jerking
2nd - mouse ok, windows is jerking
3rd - mouse ok, windows is jerking
min - all ok, but when I have high CPU load by another program foobar begins to dead.

"windows is jerking" - not only with movement of windows, also with scrolling up/down in browser, etc.

But you see - this happens not only with my machine.

Not really noticable when using 32-bit internal precision. (I tested with 64-bit earlier.)
Peter
if you have a problem with resampler, then stop using it, or use less agressive settings. apparently a lot of people prefer "warm fuzzy feelings" at cost of severe problems with their computers.
you have been warned to stop spamming this forum with messages about your "problems", you decided not to obey, therefore you will be removed from here now.
