I'm not changing my avatar, as I personally like my picture of a Ferrari alloy wheel - it's unique. (Although I might change it to a picture of my green 1997 Ford Tauraz - that car is a tank B) )

Edit - Changed it (for the time being) to a picture of an Acura Integra race car engine taken at Watkins Glen, NY.

Great thread... I've asked myself the same question.

Maybe Hydrogenaudio should change it's name to something more appropriate. Like "cat lovers who sometimes listen to music and fiddle with the related stuff" (maybe a tad bit shorter ).

Now, if Legman/Joebuck JR would be here he would, probably, instantly see a secret clique wich members always use cat avatars.

I love cats, i shared 19 years of my life with my cat, an angora male cat called Cindy (female name ). He's gone on september 11 of 2001, one of more sad days of my life, was in the same day of Twin Towers (World Trade Center) attack. Now I have a new pet, she's a dog, a 9 months old samoyedo called Brisa, she is lovely and she bites the skeakers cables all the time

My old avatar was just a stop-gap measure. My new one is the one I've wanted for a while, but it took some playing with a SNES emulator and a GIF animator to get it working. It's permanent now, unless this "cat avatar" phase the board's going through gets too irritating.

I love cats too. I have had a cat for 15 years, but, sadly, none now. He didn't bring us any animals he hunted, he just ate anything that he could hunt.

I have sometimes also hunted flying flies, but most of the times it's not worth the effort

I dunno about cats. The house I used to live in had a motion detection security spotlight, and every time it flicked on, the cats seemed to be having an arena fight in my back yard. It could be 3 or 4am.

I do think dogs communicate and bond with their owners better.

Cats: "Hmm... well... I could go outside and keep myself fit but... oh sod it, I'm off to sleep. Oh wait, there's something stringy to fight with..."

Heh heh heh. I can think of bunch of nasty things to say about this. But it's just tough to get any nastier than cleaning that out of the electronics of your sat receiver!

Cat barf is pretty corrosive. Even after cleaning it didn't work. Got a new one that runs cooler and
doesn't have vents. The old one running warm was the reason she was there in the first place.

Did you know those "heat seeking" missles each have a cat in the nosecone steering?

I just recently started using my "Kitty" avatar. My daughter has a much larger version (it's called "Cute Kitty," hence, my calling it "Kitty") as her desktop wallpaper. I thought it was so cute that I cropped it and made an avatar for myself. And, of all the forums I frequent, I know that this is the only one where my "Kitty" will be appreciated.
