In fooobar2000 0.6 I can't seem to assign a function to the 'Delete' key on my keyboard. When I press it to assign it as a hotkey, foobar2000 just says 'None'. Other keys like 'Insert' work just fine. I'd like to assign 'Remove selection' to this key, just as in WinAMP.

I'm using a standard Cherry keyboard with AZERTY (Belgium) layout with Windows XP. Oh, and the key does work in other applications - it's not broken

Is this a (known) bug, or is the 'Delete' key preserved for something?

My delete key has been working fine, with no entry for it. I decided to remove the "num del" -> remove selection entry, to see if the action assigned to del depended on that. Apparently it did, at least in part. After removing the "num del" shortcut, my delete key stopped working. After adding it back, my delete key still doesn't work.

Open up the preferences and click the reset all button. This should reset everything, and the delete key should work again.

Warning: Reset All will reset EVERYTHING. That means your colors, your SDP order, your fonts, you formatting.

Anyway, I hope this *glitch* will be fixed in an upcoming release. If you always have to reset foobar2000 completely to define a hotkey...

This is the first time I've had trouble with the hotkeys. I think it's probably a special case. (Hopefully it's a special case that will get fixed soon.)

I needed some time to figure this out myself, try again with num lock disabled, it seems to be the same key as that little del on the NK...

Edit: ENable num lock, use that little key...

Sorry to come back on this issue this late but I completely forgot about it

I'm still unable to use the Delete key on my AZERTY keyboard. On another computer with a US QWERTY the key works fine, though.

I've tried to reset all settings, deleting the config file, different foobar2000 versions,... All to no avail. Enabling and disabling Num Lock has no effect. It applies both to the Delete key on the right keypad (with NumLock enabled it acts as numeric period and works in foobar2000) as the Delete key above the arrow keys. It's this last key I'd like to use.

Would this have something to do with the Belgian AZERTY layout? Anyway, if it's not too much work I'd love to see a bugfix for this

I also can't assign any functions to the delete key. This is on a finnish QWERTY keyboard.. Also tried with and without num lock with no luck. Still, the numpad del works well if I have num lock on.
