hi,
i'd like to know what's behind those modes.

32
32 slow
64
64 slow

is it right if i say 64 is better than 32 and slow is better than fast ?
or do i have to chose those modes according to my soundcard and cpu specs ?
in which way does 64 (slow) improve over 32 (slow) (if it is better)

thanks, ben

use resampler only if your soundcard have (bad) internal resampling.

I.E. i use terratec dmx 6 fire and i don't use resampler, with AC 97 and soundblaster audigy (i am not sure) use resampler.

if you use 32 bit files use 64 bit resampler, if you use 24 bit or 16 bit files use 32 bit resampler.

use slow only if you have very very very power cpu.

try and listen to find what is the best for you.

ok i have of course 16bit files (normal audio cd)
do you think p4 northwood 2.0ghz @ 1024mb rd-ram pc800 is enough ?

thanks for your answer

use resampler 32 bit and slow if it not cause problem , if cause problem use fast, if problem change soundcard...

and use search !

why won't resampler settings efekt CPU usage on my computer. It's allways 0%.
P4 2,533GHz
ASUS P4G8X Deluxe (dual DDR)
2x512MB PC2700
SB Live! 1024

EDIT: I forget to type my soundcard

first, it might be that you don't have the resampler in the DSP chain, or second it could be because your cpu is fast enough to not really show any difference between the different modes. I'd check the first one first though wink.gif

Resampler is bottom of my DSP chain. But why is it so heavy with Athlon and Celeron processor?
NetRunner
I have 1 GHz AMD TB and Audigy. Resampler with 96k S/s and 64bits fast results in 0 CPU avg.. In slow mode though it eats all available cpu =) and Windows "multitasking" is nowhere to be found.. biggrin.gif
Adding Crossfeed sometimes raises the avg. to something like 1.
If I'd do some blind testing I most likely would not notice if the resampler was on or not, though..
