i am wondering if there would be anyway to use say 2 outputs at once (either 2 DS out or 1 DS and 1 KS, along with different DSP settings etc... basically a cloning of the output routines or something). i kinda doubt this would be possible with a component, but who knows. basically it would be the functionality of 2 seperate installs running at once. as far as i know this is impossible to do, as there cannot be multiple instances (am i right on this? someone corect me if not).

i figured it would make MD recording a hella lot easier.

thanks.

You can start multiple instances, just not from the same directory.

How would that make MD recording easier? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't you want to use stereo>4 ch, and connect your MD to rear/line out?

I'm running two instances right now. One from my program files directory, the other from my desktop. I've got both playing. (Both playing with Kernel Streaming, actually. Santa Cruz is nifty like that.)

Heh, my crap-ass onboard sound (by C-Media) allows for multiple outputs through kernel streaming as well. smile.gif One of these days I'm going to have to loopback test it to see just how much it actually sucks.
