It sounds as good as the others, is good at seeking (mpg123 sucks at seeking) and good streaming support (mad sucks at streaming)

in_mp3pro isn't even worth mentioning! :B
I's terrible at streaming (actually, it's so bad it steals every http streaming connection you try to do with WInamp - no Ogg streaming or WMA streaming then)
Besides, last version I tried didn't support ID3v2 tags. Dunno if this changed.

The default in_mp3.dll.
1) It sounds the same as any of the others.
2) It supports ID3v2 and streams well. Generally it's not "broken" in any way.
3) It's the default, so there's nothing to set up.

Besides in_mp3 can handle corrupted mp3 files without CRC correctly at 44 kHz while MAD will playback it at 11 kHz!!!!!!
