If I want to remove a plugin, then is all I have to do is delete the .dll file? Are there any e.g. registry entries or settings that need to be removed (I'm thinking maybe they are stored in the .cfg file), or are they removed automatically? Thanks in advance.

If a plugin is storing data in the registry, it shouldn't be. Peter has a nice cfg system setup for everyone to use. You should be safe to delete the plugin.

All you have to do is delete the plug-in and any files associated with it, like a .cfg. But if there is, it'll be in the foobar2000 directory with the .dll. There are no registry entries or anything else to worry about with the currently available 3rd party plug-ins.

Though a few plug-ins by inexperienced authors have done some bad things in the past, such as use configuration files, or worse, deposit them all over your hard drive. You don't have to worry about that, nothing currently available does that... Except maybe foo_ledz, but I'm not too sure on that one. I didn't keep it for long.

Cool, thanks. I guess this is one of the things that Peter wanted to fix about Winamp's plugin architecture when designing foobar?
