I encounter problems wile playing some PSF files.

By example, when I listen to 1 of the 3 last tracks of Xenogears Soundtrack (903 Very Windy outside ambience.PSF, 904 Outside ambience.PSF & 905 Sewer ambience.PSF), the sound stutter and my PC starts freezing, I can't do anything anymore... i'm forced to reboot.
For the others tracks, it's just working very well !!!

I know there's many reasons possible and I'd like to know whitch one is responsible of my problems :
- Rip problem (I found the soundtrack on www.zophar.net/psf) ???
- emulation problem (core of psf playing engine) ???
- or component problem ???

I was wondering if someone had this problem too or if it's working well on some people's PCs.

I'm using foobar 0.61a + foo_psf 1.08r2

My PC is runing on W2k + SP3

The same occurs with PSFLab, as well as the Winamp plug-in, which both use the same emulation core as my plug-in. You'll have to report the problem to Neill Corlett. You can find his PSF webpage here.

How fast is your processor? I found that in Foobar2000, with the default playback thread priority of realtime, it does slow down to a crawl, but responds to the bound stop key after a few seconds.

I didn't try the stop key... ^^;; (I didn't remember the default assigned key)

I just tried to leave foobar2000 with ALT + F4 or CTRL + ALT + SUPPR... and when I tried that, it freezed my computer...

I've got an Athlon XP 1800+ with 512 MB DDR...
