i understand now..... why MPC are best more MP3

CUZ, i'm test to extact MPC to WAV and MP3 to WAV

& a result i'm found WAV extract from MPC is look like ORIGINAL WAV file befor encoding process

however i want to know an opinien about my understand from all ur ohmy.gif

how the wav looks afterwards, doesn't tell you ANYTHING about the quality!

Looking at visuals of the wav files can be useful, but it isn't the main point. The purpose of compressed audio is to preserve how the file sounds to your ears, not how it looks when viewed in cool edit or whatever. That said, it's certainly not a bad sign when the result of an encode looks like the original wav.

[b.s.] decoded mpc files may look more like the original wav than decodes of other file types, because of mpc's subband technology. But that's just a shot in the dark. [/b.s.]
