I am looking for a good LCD Monitor so far i found Getway 18 inch for $449
Is it good price?

Sounds too low to be good. Remember, with a TFT, the size declaration means the space that's really usable (unlike with CRTs, where plastic covers the outmost parts of the picture tube). So an 18 inch TFT is like a 20 inch CRT, a 17 inch TFT is like a 19 inch CRT. When a TFT that big is so cheap, there's bound to be a drawback. You wouldn't even get an upper-class 17" TFT for $450. Read as many reviews as you can, there are a lot of things to consider.

I have a lite-on LCD monitor.
It was the cheapest to be found, a great deal when I bought it in december, but...

It works perfect, even better than LCD's that cost almost twice as much, for me.
It was a very basic beige stand (not something stylish that can rotate 90 degrees or so).
Some may argue it has too little contrast,I find it perfect though.

My advice, if you can see the screen before buying it, do that.

Some tests to do:
-Open eyecandy (high quality pictures) on it.Some dark, some light.
For instance a photo of a beach with lots of sun,and look at the bright sky, and the darker sand.
-View a few minutes of fast action dvd on it.
-Look at it from various angles.

A hardcore gamer, or a photoshop professioal would barf at my screen.
However for basic coding, web browsing, email, occasional divx\dvd and ofcourse:

It's perfect.

Just try before you buy user posted image

I am hoping to get the Hercules Prophetview 920. I think it got a good score from tomshardware!
