When, "Don't write modified tags to files." (in database preferences) is enabled, at every attempted update of an audio file, the console is popped up with, "ERROR (CORE) : Verboten!"

Which Is probably not a bug, but may be annoying?


Also, this is trivial, but wouldn't "Don't write modified tags to files." make more sense located under Standard Inputs?

No. The requests to modify files pass through the database. Otherwise, plugins like masstagger couldn't be filetype-agnostic, and would have to be modified for each new filetype.
