I just downloaded Sonique as i search for a good program that doesn't make games choppy in play (winamp) and isn't slow to load a song and start it playing (foobar). Is this any good? It looks like a nicer winamp that looks more complex and sounds pretty good on my computer. But i want audiopinions!

How about using xmplay ?
192 kbps mp3 ~1% cpu usage and 3.5 mb ram

Thanks! Great Links and really informed me! I think my Winamp in-game chopiness is gone kinda problem. So im back to 2.91 full! i would still use foobar2000 but only if they fix the slow speeds of double clickng files and playing immediately

In foobar just enable database, load all your files and then you're ready. With the database enabled it should be much faster than Winamp when loading (many) files (at once).

wh0ah! i enabled db and instant results. very nice!!! how does this improve speeds though (technically?)
