Full Version: Nero AAC switches for hardware compatibility
Hydrogenaudio Forums > Lossy Audio Compression > AAC > AAC - General

Ok, after all the long discussion there has been about LC/LTP, MPEG-2/4, AAC/MP4, etc. I'm still a bit confused on what switches to use in order to ensure compatibility with Expanium and/or iPod hardware players.

Can anyone tell me what profile, if any, is the one that will get the most (or only hardware support?

Thanks.

LC (low complexity) profile is the recommended way to go for high bitrates.
Don't know what will come with AAC+/SBR at low bitrates though.
