For those that use media jukebox 8 beta and mpc, has anyone noticed that MJ doesn't import some mpc files. I think i've narrowed it down to songs encoded with mpcenc 0.90s.. It just refuses to import these files. I was going thru and tagging all my songs when some wouldn't import and now its bugging the crap outta me.

Hi Vladdy,

Strange ! I encoded a few albums last sunday with EAC+mppenc0.90s and imported them without a problem in MJ8.0.189 beta. In fact I never came across a problem importing about 200 mpc encoded albums in MJ.
If you rip+encode from within MJ using the external encoder plugin make sure you have set the parameters according to the new mppenc syntax. for 0.90s. Using MJ convention you should enter "--xtreme --verbose %IN %OUT" in the parameter dialog, then be careful that by default MJ still encode with the MP+ extension, you have to enter MPC in the extension dialog.

If you rip+encode externally make sure that when importing you checked both mp+ and mpc extension (just in case). Also did you tag your files using any tools before importing in MJ ?

You can also submit your problem on the Mediajukebox forum where you'll find some people that could help you solve it.

Cheers
