In an odd way this board has made me download less music in
recent months.Mainly cause i've become more particular,formats,
bitrates things that up til recent i've never considered. There
for i find myself encoding all my music and can hardly ever find
anyone on p2p programs that have the quality of say Musepack,
in which i've encoded all my music with, and with those nero
plugins, well hell i see no inconvience. Not to get mushy but
i will,i see these audio formats,as diverse and useful as
speex to musepack,my favorites, and can't believe that these
programs that are superior in quality to windows media and
with no billion dollar backing. These alternative formats are
gonna be just that an alternative to Microsoft's crap, and
people will want it.I've read this article the other
day that said something to the effect that Bill Gates was
predicting people will be slow coming to newer more secure
Microsoft Systems they will be putting out.The man knows
he owns 90% of the desktops and he's getting ready to
squeeze everyone a little more.People bring up Orwell and
1984 too much but the shoe really fits of lately.I think i'm
gonna start experimenting with linux, anyone have linux working
with a cable mode/roadrunner?

Later,much respect,
Cheerios

Lars may whine , complain and copy protect his ass , but St. Anger will flourish all over P2P networks one way or another , that's a fact.
But it's also true that anyone who has the money and loves Metallica will buy the new album , even if it's crap.I hope it isn't...
