Full Version: use -Z with lame 3.92 --alt-preset standard?

I've been using --alt-preset standard -Z with lame 3.92.

Now it seems you don't need the -Z with 3.90.3:

What about 3.92? Should I use the -Z?

Thanks,

That is because -Z is hard-coded for aps and ape.

Why are you using 3.92?

is -Z necessary for 3.93.1? I am under the impression (from my interpretation of posts) that an even better method that switches between the dealies instead of sticking with one (quantization things, the X# part, i think). If you want to tell me that I am eloquent, I get it so much of that already that I am almost deaf to it.
