Full Version: on-the-fly encoding?

Is on-the-fly encoding (like CDex provides) for Ogg-Vorbis or lame generally worse than the CDA -> *.wav -> *.ogg/*.mp3 conversion?
I'm currently trying to use CDex (with new DLLs) instead of EAC and wondering how I should set the on-the-fly option.

P.S.: No posts, which say that EAC is generally better anyway, CDParanoia is good enough for me.

On-the-fly encoding is safe to use. I always let MPC encode on-the-fly during ripping, using 1 MPC thread at a time, and i never had problems with LAME either.
