Well, this is my first post here, hope it's the first of many biggrin.gif

Anyway, I've been searching the net for the vorbis acm codec and I can't find it anywhere (as a single package, that is). All I find is rc3 acms, and apparently the only one that has an up-to-date version is nimo's codec package, but I don't want to download it just for the codec. So I was wondering if anyone could inform me on where I could find this file.

Thanks in advance.

No, because the assumptions of the ACM framework directly violate the
Ogg and Vorbis specs.

That kinda sucks unsure.gif . I did a search here and found this site: http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA012897/

Anyway, I haven't tested it yet, for some reason it's not working on w2k sp3, but I guess it's preferable to use the dll's and exe's?

AFAIK, you can't use those in e.g FlasK huh.gif

I am not really a developer so could someone explain me what's so bad about ACM? unsure.gif

Thanks in advance

ACM doesnt support VBR in fact, while you may be able to use it with some hackery.

But it definitely fails if you have an unknown number of samples in a frame, what may be the case with Vorbis audio ( while its not for other VBR codecs like Lame, AAC, AC3 ) ....
