I wanted to release it yesterday, but I fell asleep when I was waiting for the installer to be ready (it's true). I simply copied the changes and Bugfixes from my website, because I'm in a hurry. Be aware, that you need qtintf70.dll now (it's 10 times larger than Tagger itself smile.gif , so I try to leave it out in next version). qtintf70.dll is included in the installer and can be downloaded seperately from my website.

Here are all changes I can remember:

-Added support to get information from websites (currently only support for albums at www.allmusic.com)
-Freedb windows are resizable now
-Freedb options can be set by the user
-Hints are shown longer
-Opening Tag doesn't lock up Tagger anymore
-"About..." message can be opened over the system menu
-Systemtree only load drives if needed

Bugfixes:

-Playlist: Sort by Tracknumber works now
-Moving playlist into a custom directory should work properly now
-The third row in the grid of the info window was not cleared
-It is no longer possible to open multiple instances of Tagger

for known bugs, have a look at my website. If you find bugs, mail me: maxbureck@arcor.de
Thanks to EricS and Phase for their help.

It's a dream come true... biggrin.gif Thanks.

I will test it later, so the question might be irrelevant, but would it possible to add support for saving the info to text file using a user defined template (eg: output to .xml, .my for myHTPC, ...)?

That would be such a nice feature, automatically generated .nfos. Great idea.

I'm having some troubles with 1.9. After running "Remove ID3v2 only" "View Tags" becomes grayed out and Tagger can no longer find Tag.exe. I then restart and get a message saying tagger can't find tag.exe at startup but "view tags" ain't greyed out. When I check options "tag is in..." is no longer checked (as it was before running "remove id3v2..."). When i check it "view tags" becomes grayed out again. I'm switching back to 1.8 meanwhile...

Hmmm... I found the bug that some fields are grayed out after using "Remove ID3v2 only" or "Remove all tags". Sometimes Tagger doesn't save options correctly (this is a problem since Tagger Beta 1). That could have caused, that the path of Tag in the field "tag is in..." was saved incomplete/incorrect, so that Tagger didn't find Tag. The first problem will be solved in the next version. The one with the wrong saving, perhaps (I didn't wrote the saving-part, it's a unit from a friend, so I don't know if it will be fixed soon or not).

I think that this would be a job for Tag, not for Tagger. Or do you want to save the information from the Freedb window (which is also used by the website-option)?

Oh, glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. smile.gif I've had that problem ever since I've been using Tagger, but never bothered to report it.

(There was another problem I always failed to report, you could no longer close Tagger if you had opened multiple instances of it [it would display "access violation" messages], but since you've now disabled opening multiple instances, that's a moot point, I guess.)

Apart from that, thumbs up as usual! smile.gif

It seems like, I am the person responsible for this one since the early beginning of Tagger. Apparently the flush procedures for a simple string-array still don't work properly after all the time rolleyes.gif. But the solution is near! Look out for a newer version of Tagger utilizing a stuffed up version of Windows©-Ini-file-management! tongue.gif

actually tag.exe DOES create nfo files with --nfo blabla.nfo *.mp3

but it doesnt handle spaces like it should do... so

CODE

title         1:30
tile2 bla     2:40

becomes to

CODE

title         1:30
title2 bla      2:40
