The way n68 starts every message with "yup..." really gets on my nerves.
The starting "yup..." and the ending "..." don't bother me. Most people (like me) don't greet you in their posts, n68 does. That's kinda nice! I don't remember seing any offensive posts by him. (The forum software seems to omit the last series of "..." after the ph34r smiley, but they are there. They pop up when you search for "all posts by this member" in n68's user details.)
n68, I believe your posts are hard to understand because of
a) sometimes incorrect grammar and vocabulary
B) unnusual breaks in the structure (line breaks, dots: "..." and strange use of quotes) make it unclear what belongs together
c) extremely short sentences
It is possible for the reader to work around a) if he has enough context to interpret what you actually meant, but that is extremely hard if you can't pickup the context due to B) and especially c). Not being a native speaker myself, I know how difficult it is to write grammatically correct using the right words, but you could try to improve on the flow and be more verbose.
I don't mean to offend you, just trying to improve communication.
I agree,
i don't mind the start and end of the posts, but i do find the structure of the main post quite annoying to read and it can sometimes put me off replying. I myself feel i am guilty of a habit, i don't know if it goes noticed but i nearly always end my post in:
QUOTE
cheers,
Kristian
This is like second nature to me, i don't know why, but i
do try to make a concious effort not to end evey post in that manner because i know it could become annoying. It is n68's post adter all, if you
really don't like it, simply don't read it!!
Thanks for taking the time to read my post
