oki i use the Media Tagger and the nice CDDB Tool to retag MP3´s with broken or wrong name/IDTag. It work realy great but i wonder how the Media Tagger know´s the right CDDB-ID? Does he scan the file names and directory name? Or is there something in teh Mp3? Or how that work. I just ask cause i have a album wich exist if i search for artist/title manualy over web but media tagger is not possible to find those album infos, cause he submit a wrong CDDB-ID? Im also not aware how to change those CDDB or manualy overwrite the info. So where/how is the CDDB-ID from MP3´s created? Maybe just dir names+filenames+file count?

It's calculated from the number of and lenght of the tracks on the cd (or mp3 files in your case). Here's a more thorogh definition on the process: http://www.freedb.org/modules.php?name=Sec...article&artid=6

So it's sufficient to keep the cue sheets even if you use a lossy codec to produce a disc that would be recognized by CDDB/freedb ?
