Why has the amusing Ludwig von 97 been banned, and all his threads locked?

I'm not wishing to start an argument, just need clarification of forum rules, thanks.
SometimesWarrior
Well, many of his posts were obviously trollish. I guess this means he violated rule #2. And he was previously banned for flagrantly violating rule #8.

As amusing as he might have been, he's been a real pain for the admins, running amok through the forums. the HA forum has no use for this kind of behavior.

Well, ok, I was still stuff here.

I've been banned because when I came here at first I strongly supported VQF format and I didn't really know what was an ABX testing. So my topics just used to get worse and worse. I've been kind of angry too when they closed my first topic and opened some other to be able to express myself again about it.

Now I've come back with a completely diffrerent opinion on what audio compression formats are, I've learned to test and so on. I now use Ogg and MP3 at high bitrates.
So I've come back asking if they could unban my old user because it's associated with the IP of my cable connexion. I wanted to rejoin as an ordinary new MP3/Ogg user that wouldn't state stuff without testing it and so on ...

etc.

Not any of my posts has been trollish.
Some have been turned into troll-like posts be other users.

All I asked was to join again in a "clean" way.

LOL! He simply won't die!

So you have come here to learn, right ? As you have probably noticed, your posts and your attitude aren't exactly welcome here; you will probably end getting your new ISP banned, just like it happened before. If learning is all you really want, why don't you hold yourself from posting and keep readonly access to the board ?
Heaven17
Well...if he really wanted to be a complete PITA, I suppose he could have rejoined with a new nick and IP address. Doesn't he deserve a second chance?

P.S. Obviously I don't know all the facts...please feel free to give me a slap if appropriate.

Well, that's exactly what he has done (dialup ISP / new account / came back complaining at admins to unban his regular ISP / account)
Ludwig_von_97
(note: I've corrected serious bugs in my first post in this topic)

Because:
- I'd like to have "the permission" to ask some questions sometimes.
- I'm here with a 56k modem in a land where we pay for the communication time (I heard that in USA it's was free, I don't know, whatever) though I have a cable connexion.

Hmm ... not complaining: "asking and explaining the facts".

As you have probably noticed (from replies you got), most of your questions have been answered in the FAQ. You can save it and view it offline.

P.S. Calling board admins/moderators "trolls" won't help you much as you are the one most of people recognize as a troll.

P.P.S. Calling someone a "troll" then editing that phrase out of a post won't get you anywhere either.

Well, at least he's dedicated (to participate... i guess) hehehehe 20 posts in a few days?, i've 10 posts since 2001

The one about 3.90.3/3.91.3, ok. A mistake.
But the other ... I'm not so sure about it.

I don't call moderator and admins "trolls" ... I talking about some users who answer to my post.

No, I did think about one of your post as a troll, then I changed my mind because it could have been just an opinion. That's why I deleted.

If you don't think this is trollish, I'm not sure your judgement is as good as the admins expect from the forum members; in all seriousness, the people I've met with your level of common sense have often been diagnosed with a minor learning disorder. If this is the case, I'm sure the forum admins will be understanding, and will accomodate your needs. But you need to PM them, rather than making public announcements.

Please don't be offended by my comments; if I've made a big mistake, forgive me. But common sense should tell you that publicly campaigning for your account to be resurrected is absolutely counterproductive to your cause. Even after other forum members have suggested that you quietly PM the admins with a request, you continued to make a huge fuss.

Ah, OK, I didn't know this. But anyway, he doesn't seem to have made any attempt to hide his identity, so maybe he's actually on the level this time? As I said, I don't know all the facts, but I've been accused (with justification) of being a stupid/arrogant/ignorant bastard in the past, so I guess I can identify to some degree...I just hope that people might give me the benefit of the doubt, that I'd learned from my mistakes.

If you have more questions, then please post them instead of starting a campaign about getting your regular ISP unbanned; you apparently don't have a problem with spending several hours online with your paid-per-time ISP; the time you've spent on writing your "offtopic" posts should be enough to post whatever questions you have and get them answered.

I didn't expect anyone to take that topic seriouly. Otherwise I wouldn't have put it in off-topic I think. I didn't intend to be trollish, but I can undestand this topic is ambiguous. (<-- correct word in English ?)

I did PM them at first, one told me he would think about it one week ago and didn't reply anything after that. (As I own a forum myself, I know how easy it is to unban an I.P. ... so ...)
I just felt that these PM's were going nowhere.

I would have a problem if I should eternally pay to come here. The problem is that I'm interested in reading the forum as freely as my connexion is supposed to allow it and asking questions when they come (the questions), I'm interested about evolutions of things and so on. I couldn't gather all the information i'll be interested in today, because I don't know what they are right now.
In short, I'd like to have a "normal" access to the forum.
I don't see any problem in staying online today if later I can come back for free ...

I would have so much post in a "normal" period .... but here there's all that "conspiration".

There are some things I would say too in this.
Ludwig_von_97
Well, it's late here. I know there are still English mistakes in the posts up there but ... good night.
Peter
Well, as one of your posts says, hydrogenaudio forums are "bunch of syndicated trollers". I don't quite understand why you would want "normal" access here (unless trolling belongs to your interests).
