quick question about clippin in the mpc format...

first off,  im kinda new to the .mpc format.

my question is:

when clippin occures when encode audio into MPCs is there all ways a text message saying so?
The reason that i ask it that i have encoded around 10 albums, and i have only receved 1 error message that clipping has occured.

so basscially if i dont get an error message everything should be alright??

just curious...

thanks

Yes, the error only occurs when the files clip.

The error occurs when there's internal clipping. That's the symptom of quite drastic clipping that the encoder cannot handle properly. It does not mean that there's no clipping if you don't get this error message! The internal clipping error will be fixed in the foreseeable future.

However, ty1er, you should ReplayGain your MPCs by any means, internal clipping or not. This will ensure that there's no clipping during playback.
