i still have problems with the playlist. The artreader option don't show any cover on my playlist.

Do you have the latest ELPlaylist?
What are your covers named?
Or do you use embedded album art?

@tedgo,

I can't use RETURN to start a song, only with double click.
It doesn't make any difference whether any song is playing or not.
Tried on 3 different computers, always the same. Annoying... 
I don't like to always using the mouse...

Is there a solution?
Keyboard shortcuts with ENTER=play is no solution.

It works here. Playlist has to be in focus though.
So please click once in the playlist or use the tab key to focus the playlist

Yeah, I did it so.   

I made a change to theme "FooNight", which I used before "DarkOne".
That theme uses ELPlaylist too, an there ENTER works!
I changed to DarkOne 1.52 (original, without any changes) again,
but ENTER doesn't work. It doesn't work in NG Playlist either! Annoying.

I guess it would be better to setup a very new foobar2000 system with
only DarkOne and then put one component in after another, just to find out
what the "bad" one is. I'll let you know here. Till then...

No, its caused by the placement in the panel stack splitters panel list and the used panels.
I don't know which panel takes focus on startup (tried different placements still but haven't found out how to give focus to elplaylist on startup).
But if you have made elplaylist with the tab key or with a single click to have focus it should work (it does here).

Let's see if you can help me (I'm not sure if this is a problem from your configuration of from the biography component).

I have a directory with the artists' images. Two situations: they sing alone (example: bla) or they sing with other guys. (example: bla & bla bla). The image files are corrected tagged ("bla.jpg" and "bla & bla bla.jpg") but everytime that only bla sings, the background of the playlist shows the "bla & bla bla" image and not the bla image. And I don't understand why because the artist name is different. Do you have any idea?

Hm, maybe caused by wildcards in the artist picture path set up in extended variables.
I'll change that in the next release, since it will no longer need foo_exvar.

Until the next release you can try the following:
set up an extended variable (Preferences --> Tools --> Extended Variables) called darkone_artist_filename and its value %artist%.*
and another one called darkone_artist_path with the path to your artist images (e.g. D:\Music\Artist Pictures\).
That should solve it.

No, sorry, not posible with DarkOne because it uses foo_playcount for rating by default.
In the tag rating mode (mode 1) it would be possible but would need a complete rewrite of the rating panel script...

same problem here..

my cover pics are usually named folder.jpg located in the same folder as my mp3 files but I would like to have a wildcard like directorypath. *
( theres only the front cover in my mp3 folder )

How can I fix the problem?
What string I have to put in that field to show wildcard items?

Using latest el_playlist and not using embedded art...

Edit: Found the solution in the deviant art comments:
"change the entry in __ART_OPTION__ to artreader nodelay"

First of all, many thanks, tedgo; for your nice skin (looking so much better than XP style haha) !

I read instructions about Elplaylist but I didn't find out why "folder.jpg" (in a nutshell, well named) aren't displayed (No Cover) in the Elplaylist but displayed well in the Artwork Tab. 

(I didn't understand a member's answer:"change the entry in __ART_OPTION__ to artreader nodelay" )

By the way, I'm a little annoyed by the fact that Artwork resizes covers to big size while my folder.jpg aren't more than 200*200 px, thus, displaying quality is very poor due to resizing.

Therefore, how can I compel Artwork tab to keep orignal size of my covers/ "folder.jpg" so that quality remains ok.

1.) Right-click in the playlist --> Settings --> field definition tab and double-click on the entry __ART_OPTION__. Then change the value to artreader nodelay.
This should work.
If not, double-click on the entry __ART_PATH__ and change its value to $directory_path(%path%)\folder.jpg and __ART_OPTION__ to nodelay.

2.) Activate the big cover view --> right-click in it and choose "Splitter Settings --> Script tab". Scroll down to:
$puts(option,$ifequal(%art.switch%,1,$if($stricmp($get(cover.server),%path%),$get(cover),),noexpansion))

and change it to:
$puts(option,noexpansion$ifequal(%art.switch%,1,$if($stricmp($get(cover.server),%path%), $get(cover),),))

(Haven't tried it, i hope i haven't made a mistake in the string...  )

I don't find any "option" nor "cover" in the splitter setting of the botom left-hand corner big Artwork view. (I want to prevent him from resizing my images)



Another issue: when I type a letter ( R for instance) in the "AL" Panel, it selects folder/artist whose name starts with "R". (as expected)

Nevertheless, in PL, or FIL (filter), when I type an artist (or whatever) letter, nothing happens and I have to scroll down manually with the mouse, which turns out to be quite long. Any solutions?

The artwork view on the bottom left side is a WSH Panel. I thought you're talking about the big cover view (the right button above the playlist).
In WSH Panel there's no easy solution for this yet...

For your "search" problem:
Just click once on "All..." in the filter you want to search for and typing a letter in will work as wanted.

It doesn't work, even by cliking on "All" before typing a letter, in the Filter. (it already worked in the "AL mod", not in "FIL mod")


About the left side WSH Panel, even if it shorten the whole width of the pannel, couldn't I switch the widht to 200px?

1.) I don't know why it doesn't work for you. It works here when i first click on "All..."...

2.) You could force the artwork size to 200px.
Right-click on the panel --> The first "Splitter Settings" --> click on "Artwork" and change the values as followed:
left: $ifgreater(%ps_width%,1280,$sub($muldiv(%ps_width%,15,128),100),50)
top: $ifgreater(%ps_width%,1280,$sub(%ps_height%,$add($muldiv(%ps_width%,15,128),100)),$sub(%ps_height%,250))
width: 200
height: 200
