Nero 6.3.1.6 Failure

Hello..after dealing with nero support before i'd much prefer not to.

Can someone please tell me what the problem may be?  Whether i use nero express or NBR my burns only ever get to 95% then fail (happens with .nrg .iso and normal audio/data.)

I have made no hardware changes to my computer in the past year and it used to work perfectly fine (i have also tried various cdr's from various manufacturers, so it can't be that i'd imagine.)

I saved a log, but have no idea how to upload it here, so i'll C&P it.

Thank you to anyone who tries to help.

S.

I am sorry but your aro not in a Nero support forum.
It could be more efficient to ask Ahead technical support.

Hello..after dealing with nero support before i'd much prefer not to.

I kinda started with that sentence for a reason.  Have you ever dealt with them?  I'd imagine no.

Didn't work.....can't be anything else other than a prob with my cd-rom.

Done the reg clean part, (deleted a whole bunch of files to free up 10Gb incase it was a problem with space as i only had 3gb left then a full defrag) didn't work......

Six failed burns later it seems like it would be more cost effective just to replace my drive.

Anyhoo.....thanks for pointing me in a helpful direction nonetheless.

you can try getting a lens cleaning disc.

Barring that, sounds like the drive may be knackered.
