Streaming audio?

I found this audioplayer on icecast's website, i read that it supported streaming audio, and being fed up with winamp,  and its exessive features i decided to try it, and i liked it alot!
now my only gripe is this:
i cant get streaming audio to work.. at all.
i will enter a location like "http://www.mostlyclassical.com/mp3/classical128k_europe.pls" or "http://81.92.166.2:8008" which is a direct link.
only nothing happens, no entry is made to the playlist, nothing.
if i enter "http://81.92.166.2:8008/" the player will crash tho' i dont know if its because it parses the input wrong, or whatever happens.
i even tryed to download the .pls and open it as a playlist from within the application, but still nothing happens.
am i doing something wrong, or is this feature just not working correctly?
i searched the forum, and found one post reporting the same problem, but no sufficient answer.

Thank you for your time.

It's worked for me in all of the latest beta versions.  So either wait for the next official update or ask where to get the betas on the irc channel.  Hope that helps.

i tryed downloading the newest beta (beta 19 i belive) and when adding an url still nothing happens, except when i try and add an url like http://81.92.166.2:8008/ < note the trailing slash, it will give me one entry, named "?" and it wont play.
sadly i am unable to see what the problem could be, i guess it has to be machine specific, as you say its worked on yours for a while.
this is a shame, it is the only thing keeping me from using this player, as i spend a lot of time listening to streaming music.

Just thought I'd let you know it does the exact same thing on both my Win98 box, and my XP one. This is using the official release though - not the beta.

Plays fine. Remember that when you add a location, it's the same as adding files, it won't start playing immediately. If it fails anyway, try pressing stop and play to force it to restart.

im aware of that, the problem is that no 'file' or title shows up when i add a location..

If your pl string tags are enclosed in []s you wont see anything in your playlist.

Work here with b20 (all i heard was a violin). Clear your playlist first, add the location, then click at the top where the first playlist item would be. It should be seleceted, double click as usual to play.

If you're feeling adventerous, try my modified foo_read_inet, uses winsock instead of internet explorer API for reading. http://www.r1ch.net/junk/foo_read_inet.zip - BACK UP (rename to .old or something so it isn't loaded) YOUR OLD ONE!! This is very experimental, it "works for me" but may have issues I have not yet discovered. Requires 0.5.

Using v.043 adding the link above ( http://81.92.166.2:8008/ ) cause foobar to crash on my comp also.  Likewise, my playlists of various internet radio stations I listen too from WinAmp, causes Foobar to crash when I try to load it.

i tryed the plugin there, on 0.5 b 19 and still no go, i can make it appear as a questionmark (?) on the playlist, but thats all, no matter how i try and add the location.

Works also with new public beta version (v.5b28).

Now for future features, would love to have ShoutCast title support as in_mp3.dll had in winamp 2.81, if thats possible.
