I try to convert FLAC to MP3 with LAME, get stuck at components folder

Hi Y'all,
I'm new to fb2k.
I regularly convert files from flac/wav to mp3-CBR 320.
When I try to do so, it opens in 'components'/ command line encoder ... and I don't know where to go from there.

Any suggestions?

Could you be a little clearer? What do you mean it opens in components?

Are you talking about the dialog box that opens with a title named 'please locate flac.exe'?

If so, I would suggest you use that standard windows explorer find file dialog and follow the instruction to point foobar2000 to the location where flac.exe resides. Foobar2000 does not ship with encoders. It is a one time task to inform foobar2000 where the encoder is stored on your computer.

EDIT: Re-reading your post you are not looking to convert to flac. Instruction is the same. Just use the dialog to point to whatever encoder foobar2000 is trying to locate. In your case, probably some version of lame.exe.
