Fb2k 1.3 unable to delete ID3v2.3 Txxx frame tag: 'EACLOG'

Hi.

I just transcoded all my FLAC files to MP3 last week using Foobar2000 1.3 and was cleaning-up unnecessary tags from the resulting MP3 files.

For some reason, I am unable to delete the ID3v2.3 Txxx frame tag: 'EACLOG'.
I have verified that the files have write permissions and don't have the read-only attribute set.

This is what I did:
  • Load files, selected all of them, right-clicked and chose 'Properties'.
  • Selected the tag in question in the 'Metadata' tab, right-clicked and clicked 'Remove'.
  • Clicked 'OK'.

I see that the files are being processed and written into, but the tag refuses to go!

Please help me resolve this issue.

Thanks.

Can Mp3tag or TagScanner delete it?

Does the Properties dialog display a "partial info shown" notice when opened? If yes, you need to load complete info - which might take a while to complete - before you can see or edit these fields.
Microsoft Windows: We can't script here, this is bat country.

Hi Peter.

I see no dialog boxes warning me of anything. I see the properties, attempt to delete them but see them still being retained just as I described in my first post.

There was no indication by fb2k of anything being amiss at all.

Regards,
Rohan.
