ALF2CD

Hi, people, recently I found on some computer CD an utility called ALF2CDConverter. It turns wav files into wav files, but much smaller size - 256, 320, 384 and 512 kbps. The enclosed internet link isn't functional anymore, but the authors say something about "high quality - own concept compression"... and there was still something about ACM and Windows, but I can't now remember. Has anybody any experience with this?

Thnx, nice from you, but this all can be found on the computer CD...

I would like to know if someone has tried it already and what experience has with the quality, because to be honest, I got very little time for experimenting, but I would prefer something like this if I eventually was made to make some lossy compression (besides MPC "Braindead"...  )

interesting..  it seems to be targeting pretty high bitrates.  maybe its some sort of adpcm compression?  I've never heard of it.
