USB Audio Questions

  • Does the Windows XP USB Audio driver support >16 bit >44100 Hz audio?
  • Would it lower the CPU consumption, or would it be better in any way, if I use my new PCI USB2 card with my USB1 devices instead of the USB1 ports on the motherboard? Does the chipset on the card do some work that would theoretically bring some advantage?
