xmms-musepack-1.1-alpha6 problems

i can't play some of my mpc files on xmms with this plugin
also the tags are messed-up or don't even show up (this only happens with the files that don't play)

i'm gonna throw out an id3v2 guess here...

i haven't had any problems with a range of files.  you can upload the file to me at:
ftp://xmixahlx.dyndns.org:21/incoming/ if you are unsure of how to handle it

i also tried v1.00 of the plugin and i get this error :

ERROR: function play()

Superframe-size !=1:  not suported anymore.
Please decode with command-line tool!

v1.1-alpha6 doesn't output any error

edit:

i also tried: mppdec (Static linked) 1.95e and it played the file fine

the output was:

./mppdec-static ./The\ Clash\ -\ London\ Calling\ \[EAC-MPC\ Q5\ xlevel\]\ \[by\ Panzemeyer\]\ \[www.MPC-Donkey.de\]/The\ Clash\ -\ London\ Calling\ -\ 01\ -\ London\ Calling.mpc

any reason why all the files from this album don't work on the xmms-plugin ?

As xmixahlx already guessed, this file has an ID3v2 tag which is not supported by Musepack. Try to remove the ID3v2 tag and the file should play fine - also with the latest XMMS plugin.

hi,
get the id3v2 commandline utility from http://id3v2.sourceforge.net/ and run

Code: [Select]
id3v2 -D file.mpc
