Which drive is best?

My PC is eqipped with a TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-C2512  Adapter: 1  ID:
as well as with a external cd-writer PHILIPS PCRW1208JR  Adapter: 2  ID: 0
which of these drives should I preferebly use for audio-extraction (EAC+LAME)?

Wow - I have almost the exact same two drives.

I always use the Toshiba, because it goes at around 10x, while the Philips goes at about 6x.

thank you steve, how do you mean - "almost the same?"
Would u tell me your prefered eac/lame-settings? Is there anything special to know about these drives? Did you make a firmware update yet? Thank´s again!
