Thanks much.
For those that dont know what this is, it adds these 3 options to the DSP manager. * Center Cut - Sides (Stereo): This removes the 'center' channel (whatever is in both the left and right channels). * Center Cut - Center (Mono): This keeps only the 'center' channel. * Classic Vocal Remover (Mono): This is simply the difference between the left and right channels ((L-R)/2). Not very interesting when you can use the first one instead, but I included it for comparison. This post has been edited by neoufo51: Jan 16 2004, 14:42 |

Any chance of a version of this plugin, or one similar to it, for 0.9 beta?

Thanks for the plugin!
I get some buzzing. I hope you get time to further work on this, I havent found anything that works simmilar in any sound editor, this would be great for remixing some old recordings I made that I dint have the original tracks of anymore. This post has been edited by markanini: Nov 5 2005, 03:02 |

I upploaded an audio example of the buzzing issue i encountered.
Loud music with many instrument doesnt seem to suffer as much. This is from a solo guitar piece i recorded in stereo in both center and side mode: http://www.filecoast.com/index.php?pg=show...enter%20buzz.wv http://www.filecoast.com/index.php?pg=show...=side%20buzz.wv I can also upload the orginal if you'd like. An other issue I found was that the non classic modes tended to add artefact that sounded like the ones you get from noise reduction. But perhaps this is unnavoidable due to tha way the plugin works? Hese's a comparision beetween classic mode and center cut downmixed to mono, which sould be identical if i'm not misstaken. http://www.filecoast.com/index.php?pg=show...66&code2=old.wv http://www.filecoast.com/index.php?pg=show...80&code2=new.wv I hope this helps developement of this plugin. QUOTE (markanini @ Nov 4 2005, 11:14 PM) I upploaded an audio example of the buzzing issue i encountered. I call this 'clicking', I noticed this problem already on some of my music. I discussed this problem here and I found a solution for it. As of now I haven't released a plugin that includes this fix. QUOTE (markanini @ Nov 4 2005, 11:14 PM) An other issue I found was that the non classic modes tended to add artefact that sounded like the ones you get from noise reduction. I believe what you are hearing is echo added by Center Cut. I have asked the author of the algorithm (Avery Lee) about this, but he isn't sure exactly what causes it or how to fix it. |

I'm going to make a new thread for this since I started from scratch rather than porting Chun-Yu's plugin.
