Nvidia's PureVideo

I finished building a PC to be used as a Media Center via hooked up to my tv. I have an Nvidia 7600 GT card and I plan on buying the PureVideo plug in. Before I spend alot of money on a media center software, I was wondering which software is the best(ie: xp media center, sage tv, ect.) and would nvidia's PureVideo plug in work just as well with anything besides XP media center?
Cowon Iaudio X5 30 gig. It rocks!

The Purevideo decoder comes with their unofficial media center software called "nStantMedia". It's pretty good, maybe that's already sufficient for you.
