ColumnsUI & Panel Stack Splitter config for foobar2000 v0.9.4, v0.9.5 & v0.9.6 ![]() click below for full view : ![]() First release : 17/06/2008 Last Release : 26/10/2008 Version : 2.0b /// PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE GETTING MY CONFIG /// ColumnsUI Config using Panel Stack Splitter give to foobar200 a kick ass look, but these configs are not recommended to newbees to foobar2000, DefaultUI is a better choice is you don't know how configuring a component and if you don't know a little bit titleformatting script used in foobar. --- use at your own risk and matching your foobar capacities --- /// COMPONENTS REQUIRED /// - ColumnsUI 0.3 beta2 preview9 or higher - foo_ui_columns.dll - Panel Stack Splitter 0.3.4a - ELPlaylist 0.6.2.6b or higher - foo_uie_elplaylist - (Chronial) Cover Flow 0.3.0 or higher - foo_chronflow.dll - Graphical Browser rev015 or higher - foo_uie_graphical_browser.dll - Lyric Show Panels 0.3.1.1b8 or higher - foo_uie_lyrics.dll - Track info panel mod 0.8.0 or higher - foo_uie_trackinfo_mod.dll - Quick Search Toolbar 2.8l or higher - foo_uie_quicksearch.dll - Channel Spectrum Panel 0.16 or higher - foo_uie_vis_channel_spectrum.dll - Album list panel 0.2.3beta or higher - foo_uie_albumlist.dll - Playlists Dropdown 0.6 alpha4 or higher - foo_uie_playlists_dropdown.dll - WSH Panel 0.7.2 or higher - foo_uie_wsh_panel.dll - (optional) last.fm radio 0.5 or higher - foo_lastfm_radio.dll /// FONTS REQUIRED /// - Segoe UI - Angelina - Smirnof - Uni 05_53 - Wingdings /// DOWNLOADS /// get files from DA : http://br3tt.deviantart.com/art/IBIZA-foobar-config-91437036 /// INSTALLATION /// 1) extract .7z archive in the default foobar2000 folder (must be C:\Program Files\foobar2000\) 2) run foobar with ColumnsUI as interface 3) go to preferences -> ColumnsUI -> Main -> use Import Button to import the ibiza20b.fcl file, apply the imported layout ! 4) you may have to configure stand alone components like Quick Search Toolbar, Cover Flow, Lyric Show panel ... cause the configuration file do not contains my settings (not stored in the .fcl) 5) you may have to change the PATH for covers and artist photos for each components using them, simply rigth-click on the component to update --> enter settings of the component --> modify the path for the variables cover.path and/or artist.path, generally coded in the first line of the code of the component (graphical browser, ELPlaylist, Panel Stack Splitter) 6) modifying PATH of covers and artists photos for the background Transparency in ELPlaylist : - transparency is ON by default, if nothing appear (so looks like it is OFF) it is because the PATH for covers and Artist Photo is mine and you have to modify them ! => the more easy way if you don't know how to find the code for the Panel Stack Splitter that contains the ELPlaylist panel is explained here : => rigth-click in the back space (2 pixeld high!) just between the top line just above the playlist and top of the playlist, see below and follow instructions to modify the PATH of your covers and Photos : ![]() ...to make the transparency brighter or darker, modify the __TRANSPARENCY__ value in ELPlaylist Settings [0-255] ... default value (for my brigth monitor) is 100 : ![]() /// STARTUP possible Settings /// 1/ Playback Order - to set the playback order to use on startup, you have to go to Splitter Settings (rigth click on the playback button bar except on the rating system! ---> Splitter Settings ...) in the list of panels used, you'll find at top 3 panels (which are only used as boolean) : Playback Order Default, Shuffle & Repeat ==> to select which you want to use on startup, select which you want to display and on the rigth of this list, uncheck the box 'Hidden on startup' ... for the 2 other panels check the box !!! 2/ Left Panel display same way, but select in the list of panels 'Left Panel' and use the box option to hide or show the panel on startup. 3/ Split Panel display same way, but select in the list of panels 'Split Panel' and use the box option to hide or show the panel on startup. /// CHRONFLOW JScript /// CODE // Author: mil3s (moded by br3tt for point of view) // General Notes: // Most of these functions return an array with 3 elements // These are the x,y,z coordinates in 3d-space // x is left to right // y is bottom to top // z is front to back var coverSpacing = 0.12; /************************* COVER DISPLAY *****************/ // These functions define the Display of the single Covers // The given parameter coverId is a floating point number. // It is 0 for the center cover, 1 for the one right // beneath it, -1 for the one on the left side and so on. // During movement the values float between the integer // values. function coverPosition(coverId){ var x, y, z; y = 0; if (Math.abs(coverId) <= 1){ // The centered cover z = 4 + 0.5 * (1 - Math.abs(coverId)); x = coverId * 0.875; } else { // The covers on the side z = 4 - (Math.abs(coverId)-1) * 0.01; x = 0.875 + coverSpacing * (Math.abs(coverId)-1); if (coverId < 0) x *= -1; } return new Array(x, y, z); } // return array is (angle, x, y, z) - this rotates // the cover *angle* degrees around the vector (x,y,z) // With (0,0,0,0) the cover is parallel to the x-y-Plane function coverRotation(coverId){ var angle; if (Math.abs(coverId) < 1){ // The centered cover angle = coverId * -60; } else { // The covers on the side if (coverId > 0) angle = -60; else angle = 60; } return new Array(angle, 0, 1, 0); } // Defines the the size boundaries for the cover. // Aspect ratio is preserved. // Return Array is (widht, height) function coverSizeLimits(coverId){ return new Array(1, 1); } // Sets which point of the cover coverPosition() defines // (-1,-1) means bottom left, (0,0) means center, // (1,1) means top right, (0, -1) means bottom center etc. // The cover is also rotated around this point. function coverAlign(coverId){ return new Array(0, -1); } // Defines the range of covers to draw. // Return array is (leftmostCover, rightmostCover) // This interval shouldn't be larger than 80 // The center cover is 0. function drawCovers(){ return new Array(-30, 30); } // In which direction should the fov be expanded/shrinked // when the panel is resized? // If this returns (0,1), the height is fixed. // If this returns (1,0), the width is fixed. // You can also return stuff like (0.5,0.5) or (7, 3) // The values determine how important it is for this // dimension to stay fixed. function aspectBehaviour(){ return new Array(0, 1); } /************************** CAMMERA SETUP ****************/ // Position of the viewport function eyePos(){ return new Array(0, 0.90, 6.0); } // Defines the point for the eye to look at function lookAt(){ return new Array(-0.0, -0.75, 0.6); } // Used to rotate the view. // The returned Vector points upwards in the viewport. // This vector must not be parallel to the line of sight from the // eyePos point to the lookAt point. function upVector(){ return new Array(0, 1, 0); } /************************** MIRROR SETUP *****************/ function showMirrorPlane(){ return true; // return false to hide the mirror } // Any Point on the Mirror Plane function mirrorPoint (){ return new Array(0, 0, 0); } // Normal of the Mirror Plane function mirrorNormal (){ return new Array(0, 1, 0); } /// POSSIBLE TROUBLES /// As said above, ColumnsUI Config using Panel Stack Splitter give to foobar200 a kick ass look, but these configs are not recommended to newbees to foobar2000, DefaultUI is a better choice is you don't know how configuring a component and if you don't know a little bit titleformatting script used in foobar. --- use at your own risk and matching your foobar capacities --- enjoy! Any idea on where to find some of these components? A google search can't find a couple of them. A link to their author's sites, if possible, would be nice. Or even some foo-* names?
The layout looks great. This post has been edited by Gow: Jun 17 2008, 16:00 -------------------- Zune 80, Tak -p4 audio library, Lossless=Choice

Looks great, your next nice config
I have two suggestions, the first is, don't name it ColumnsUI config, more sth. like PanelSS, it reminds more to the "great brother" from Panel Stack Splitter and lets everyone suggest thats not just a "normal" ColumnsUI config. the second is, could you include Album List Panel in your next release, or tell me a way on how to do it by myself? For me Album List Panel ist the most useful media library for fb2k, I could never live without it E: and you forgot Channel Spectrum Panel in your Components list This post has been edited by drfakeacc: Jun 17 2008, 19:51 |

Segoe script is available with Vista i think Looks great, your next nice config thanx I have two suggestions, the first is, don't name it ColumnsUI config, more sth. like PanelSS, it reminds more to the "great brother" from Panel Stack Splitter and lets everyone suggest thats not just a "normal" ColumnsUI config. not convicted. the second is, could you include Album List Panel in your next release, or tell me a way on how to do it by myself? For me Album List Panel ist the most useful media library for fb2k, I could never live without it display the toolbars (lock button) --> library --> Album List not implemented cause there is a pb with Panel Stack Splitter, a refresh tree must be done each first time to see the tree E: and you forgot Channel Spectrum Panel in your Components list That's right, i have added it, thanx -------------------- http://br3tt.online.fr/

![]() for the font i understand why i haven't it... Can you make in the next version that the title bar show the title and not ibiza v1.0 when it is playing please this button displays ELPlaylist (replace the NG Playlist in rigth panel), have you it installed ? last version ? for your request, go to CUI settings, in main tab, modify the titleformat to display %artis% - %title% instead of what i have write, but you know i already display these infos just over the playlist !!?

Hi Br3tt, thanks for a great skin
I've got a strange problem, I've lost the Coverflow view, it's just blank, although I can still get the coverflow to show from view/show coverflow window. I can right click on the blank page and ADD PANEL but then the Coverflow fills the whole window, any idea how to get it back properly? I also got the Chronflow to load like that, in the next version can you have the option to use either the Chronflow or the Bubble Coverflow (like you had in Reflex) as the Bubble one crashes a lot, it doesn't seen to like large Folder.jpg images |

Looks good to me, Falstaff. I'm not big on skinned UIs, but this one actually looks reasonably usable!
I'm glad to see the skinning part of the foobar2000 community moving beyond Panels UI in a few directions. Keep up the good work. -------------------- (atrix|(fb2k->e-mu 0404 usb|audio 8 dj))->hd280|jvc ha-fx35-b

this is great... i just wish i knew how to add a volume control and a menu button. See the brown lock in the upper right corner? Click on it and there you have your volume control and your menu. oh good lord.. thanks..lol Also.. what does the Music note button do? And is there a way to make the main config screen go away every time i load foobar, i get that screen where i have to press start. On a side note.. i've never really used artist images that often in configs, but i would like to... is there a good, and quicker resource for downloading artists images other then just google images for my huge catalog...lol This post has been edited by bubbabyte: Jun 18 2008, 00:59 |

Hey Gow, try here it's simple and easy Foobar2000 Componets page I was trying to make the nice point that Track info and Track info mod have 404 errors from the Components page links but I guess that got shot down because that wasn't clear enough. Not all components have available downloads was is my point. Plus Panel Stacker is not on the components page of the wiki. Ah well. I guess I can copy those components from my desktop foobar2000 installation if they are still there. Though Graphical Browser I can't seem to find. Hmm... -------------------- Zune 80, Tak -p4 audio library, Lossless=Choice

Nice config, why is it that i have to choose the start button everytime? And also, everytime i get it too open it starts off with the browser tab selected instead of my last use. Example I had infos on when i exited. Just wondering. ok, i explain why Start screen always display at each launch : - ColumnsUI and Panel Splitter don't have permanent variables like PVAR in PanelsUI, so, you can't save the layout disposition on exiting or playback order for example ... that is a big lack comparing to PanelsUI. so i can't say 'Show Start Screen only on time at the 1st launch' and i'll not remove it cause i need it to set some variables at the launch, cause the only way to set some variables is using a button to execute a command. You know all now btw it is not very hard to click a button at each launch of foobar, no ? this is great... i just wish i knew how to add a volume control and a menu button. See the brown lock in the upper right corner? Click on it and there you have your volume control and your menu. Also.. what does the Music note button do? you don't know that, you about artists photo, it would be cool if people having a huge collection of artist photo (square if possible to fit my needs i can upload mine but it is small (~500 square photos) but could help to complete yours ... PM me if you can share or if you want mine. Looks good to me, Falstaff. I'm not big on skinned UIs, but this one actually looks reasonably usable! I'm glad to see the skinning part of the foobar2000 community moving beyond Panels UI in a few directions. Hey Br3tt! I love this config, it's wonderful that we can still have beautiful skins even after the discontinuation of PanelsUI
I only have one problem with it - the second button in the top right corner (highlighted by bowen_tk in post #7) that toggles between ELPlaylist and NGPlaylist crashes my foobar everytime I click it. NGPlaylist works okay, but I prefer the looks of ELPlaylist, so it would be really great if I could get that to work. All my components are updated to the latest version and I've tried with both 0.9.5.2 and 0.9.5.3. Clicking that button always crashes foobar! Here is my crash log, hopefully it will be helpful: CODE Illegal operation: Code: C0000005h, flags: 00000000h, address: 4ED5316Dh Access violation, operation: read, address: 092AC20Ch Call path: entry=>app_mainloop=>titleformat_object::run Code bytes (4ED5316Dh): 4ED5312Dh: 8B 40 24 53 56 57 89 55 F8 89 4D FC 89 45 0C 8B 4ED5313Dh: 4D 08 8B 5D 0C 8B 75 F8 8B 7D FC 0F EF FF 0F 6F 4ED5314Dh: 1D 10 EF DC 4E 8B 03 8B D0 C1 EA 18 83 FA 00 74 4ED5315Dh: 45 81 FA FF 00 00 00 75 04 89 07 EB 39 0F 6E E0 4ED5316Dh: 8B 06 0F 6E C0 0F 60 C7 81 F2 FF 00 00 00 0F 6E 4ED5317Dh: D2 0F 61 D2 0F 62 D2 0F D5 C2 0F FD C3 0F 7F C2 4ED5318Dh: 0F 71 D0 08 0F FD C2 0F 71 D0 08 0F 67 C0 0F FE 4ED5319Dh: C4 0F 7E C2 89 17 83 C7 04 83 C6 04 83 C3 04 49 Stack (0012E17Ch): 0012E15Ch: 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 0012E16Ch: 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 0012E17Ch: 049D1ED8 049D1F10 00000001 092AC20C 0012E18Ch: 092AC20C 0012E1AC 4ED4AF5C 0000000F 0012E19Ch: 04B606E8 0000000F 049D1EC0 04B66AB0 0012E1ACh: 0012E1D0 4ED50113 092AC20C 04B606E8 0012E1BCh: 0000000F FFFFFFFB FFFFFFF7 04B61E88 0012E1CCh: 0012E32C 0012E1F4 4ECA4536 FFFFFFFB 0012E1DCh: FFFFFFF8 0000000F 0000000F 00000000 0012E1ECh: FFFFFFFB 04B66AB0 0012E260 4ED472D7 0012E1FCh: FFFFFFFB FFFFFFF8 0000000F 00000000 0012E20Ch: 0012E3DC FFFFFFF8 04B66AB0 FFFFFFFF 0012E21Ch: 00000258 04B606E8 00950000 00940000 0012E22Ch: 09890000 FFF60000 00000000 00000001 0012E23Ch: 00960000 00950000 00000096 00000095 0012E24Ch: 00000095 FFFFFDAC 00000094 FFFEA520 0012E25Ch: 00000000 0012E284 4ED4B8F7 FFFFFFF8 0012E26Ch: FFFFFFFB 0000000F 0012E608 00000005 0012E27Ch: FFFFFFF6 FFFFFFFB 0012E3E4 4ED4EAB0 0012E28Ch: 04B66AB0 0000000A 0012E3DC 00000000 Registers: EAX: 01000001, EBX: 04B606E8, ECX: 0000000F, EDX: 00000001 ESI: 092AC20C, EDI: 092AC20C, EBP: 0012E190, ESP: 0012E17C Crash location: "gdiplus", loaded at 4EC50000h - is there any way in coverflow to double click on the specific cover and have it play THAT album.. rather then just start/stop the current song?

is there any way in coverflow to double click on the specific cover and have it play THAT album.. rather then just start/stop the current song? the only way is to make a "Quicksearch for the same Album" command just after your double click to play the 1st track of this album, that will generate a new playlist that only contains the album tracks, so it make the job ... maybe i'll add a button at the top of the CoverFlow to allow to do this, what about ? -------------------- http://br3tt.online.fr/
