very problematic lame mp3 sample

I don't know if there's still any interest in new problematic mp3 samples, but since I just found a very obvious one during a personal test of mine, I decided to post it in case someone finds it useful...

Lame 3.98.2 -V1 vs Nero AAC q0.5 (in a quick test I wasn't able to abx the aac file against the attached flac). The problem is on the loud noisy click with a fast attack 2 seconds into the sample. I guess we have smearing and preecho going on here - in any case it sounds plainly different than the original.

Lame 3.98.2 -b 320 vs Nero AAC q0.5. Slightly better than the -V1 encoding but still extremely easy to abx as you can see from the timing of the test.

If it sounds really bad at V2, its gonna be ABXable at 320 most of the time . IMO its not gonna be transparent with other Mp3 encoders though.

Hard to ABX at -q 0.55, but just almost transparent. A big improvement from V2 and 320 CBR though and at a smaller size.

very problematic lame mp3 sample

took me awhile but I got the hang of it, focusing on the leading edge of that first click, and then it was not too hard at the setting I used (192 VBR)
Which makes sense if you guys are ABXing it at 320!
