Windows screen saver for car MPC players?

If any of you guys have an in-vehicle MPC player you might have thought about this.......

Does anyone know of a Windows screen saver that takes info from Winamp.....like artist, year, album, title, etc....and displays it as or over a screensaver?  I never found one for MP3 files and Winamp so I'm guessing there's probably nothing for MPC yet.

I've done some progging in the past but nothing in a few years...kinda outta the loop.  What s/w would I need to do something like that?  I don't want anything flashy.  BUT, the screen saver's gotta be 640x480(VGA). Thanks.

why screensaver? i think a lot of winAMP vis plugins display BIG title, performer time etc. ?

Those plugins will probably not work with mpc.

vis plugins (visualization) work with (almost) ANY input plugins - but now I think Jan that that EAR plugin of Yours may help (if only  it had - or the minibrowser) some 640x480 VGA fullscreen mode?

If the info you want to have displayed is taken from a filename every format whould go but if it should read tags (id3) it would also allow specific extensions.

Other tag-formats as the ogg one would have to be specifically supported.

I've converted some friends and guys from work over to the MPC format now.  They don't happen to read this site (I don't know why) but they are also looking for the same thing.  This would be a hot plugin on the Winamp site for anyone with a in-car MPC player(computer).

What would be best IMO is:

ability to display whatever IDv3.1 info I tell it to, which would be Artist, Year, Album, Title and the ability to change the font size that displays over (or as) the screensaver. The screensaver must be 640x480.  What s/w would be needed to create something like this? Thanks.

Well, it's basically a Pentium Celeron 600MHz PC in my truck.  I built the whole thing myself last year in the Spring. I've had ZERO problems with it.  People don't believe that, but the drives these days are rated around 2G's for shock.  Unless it's a really bad bump/pothole, it never skips or gives me any problems. 

It's got a 80GB hd, cdrom for loading up MPC's onto the hd that I burn in my house, floppy, two internal fans for cooling during warmer months, and a touch-pad for control. A keyboard sits in my back seat in case I ever need to use it. It's all powered by a ATX DC/DC convertor to convert the truck's electric to regulated DC for everything.  For visual I use a 6.5" color LCD screen hooked to a VGA/NTSC convertor so I can use the monitor port on the motherboard for the LCD screen.  The max resolution is 640x480(VGA), but that's good enough for reading Winamp or the regular Windows stuff(Windows Explorer, etc.).  Here's a few new pix I just took. The cd player is being used in my house right now for an experiment but it'll be installed again.  Sorry for the fuzzy shots of the display.

I gotta get some night shots of the screen. It looks very cool at night.  The display is mounted where my stereo used to be. No need for that anymore!    It's a little crude but I really was limited on where to put the screen safely and have it a little theft-proof. I put the tinted plexiglass in front to make it look a little better.  So, that about sums it up.  Oh, and yes, the truck's got a top-tier alarm system in it.  I love this thing and I don't miss commercials!
